Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Oil Recycling Operator to join our team in Wichita, Kansas! This is a labor-intensive role with excellent opportunities to learn and grow in various operational areas. You will start in our tank farm operations with potential to advance through our operator progression path.

Shift - Rotating shift schedule: 7am-7pm, 4 days on/4 days off, rotating between 2 months on days and 2 months on nights. New hires typically start with a floating schedule covering both days and nights until assigned to a permanent crew.

  Responsibilities
  
  
  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes
  • Transfers tanks for all product oils and feedstock from holding tanks to main feed tanks
  • Samples all tanks and products to ensure they meet specifications
  • Loads and unloads railcars, trucks, and specialty containers of product oils
  • Processes inbound and outbound product railcars using an iPad
  • Conducts regular rounds throughout shifts to check for leaks/abnormalities with tanks or lines
  • Monitors pumps, filters, and industrial equipment used in transferring oil
  • Conducts weekly/monthly compliance inspections as needed
  • Performs field and warehouse inventories as needed
  • Issues permits and oversees safe work in the designated tank farm area including following LOTO
  • Maintains housekeeping in all operating units
    
    Qualifications
    
    
    • HS Diploma or Equivalent
    • 1-3 years manufacturing or plant experience preferred
    • Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting experience
    • Previous refinery operations experience is an asset
    • Previous forklift experience preferred
    • Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb, stoop, bend, etc.
    • Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work rotating shifts
    • Team-oriented with ability to communicate effectively
    • Willingness to learn and grow within the company
