• Employment Type: Travel TRAVEL - RN - Med / Surg (629) - Wesley MC - 7P - 7A ESCALATED RATE OF 85 APPLIED FOR ANY ASAP STARTS Unit Information: Med Surg - General Surgery 629 Location: Wesley Medical Center Address: Floor: 7 Building: Building 4 General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 36 Number of Staff - approx. 47 FTEs / headcount 60 Type of staff: Day Shift - 1 charge, up to 6 nurses (mix of RNs and LPNs), up to 3 patient care technicians (nursing assistants), 1 unit clerk Night Shift - 1 charge, up to 6 nurses (mix of RNs and LPNs), up to 3 patient care technicians (nursing assistants) Patient Ratios - When not staffed with LPN teams: 1 RN to 6-7 patients; when staffed as LPN team model: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients Type of equipment - typical acute care inpatient unit, may see wound vacs, NG tubes, chest tubes EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: nurses - RNs and LPNs Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. Familiar with pre- and post-op inpatient care Wound care Experience managing central lines (PICC, port, CVC) List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Not performed directly on unit, but patients with general surgeries (hernia repair, colon resection, thyroidectomy, complex wound procedures) Best personality Fit: Compassionate Encouraging Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
