Schedule: 12 hrs - Days/Nights
Unit: Med Surg - General Surgery (Unit 629)
Patient Ratio: 1:6-7 (varies based on staffing model)
EMR: Meditech
Job Description:
Looking for an experienced Travel RN - Med/Surg to join the General
Surgery unit. The nurse will provide comprehensive care to pre- and
post-op patients recovering from procedures such as hernia repairs,
colon resections, thyroidectomies, and complex wound surgeries.
Unit Details:
36-bed acute care inpatient unit
Support staff: Charge nurse, RNs, LPNs, patient care technicians,
unit clerk
Equipment used: Wound vacs, NG tubes, chest tubes, central lines
(PICC, port, CVC)
Requirements:
--- Active RN License (Kansas or Compact)
--- 1+ year of Med/Surg experience
--- BLS Certification
--- Experience with pre-/post-op inpatient care, wound care, and
managing central lines
