TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Wichita, Kansas, 67214 Pay Information $1,876 per week About The Position Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: Full-time Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Proficiency in IV skills, Foley insertion, and medication administration Job Description: - Work in a Med/Surg Float Pool across multiple units. - Flexibly adapt to different medical-surgical units with varying numbers of beds between 32-36 per unit. - Collaborate with a team that includes a charge nurse, RNs, LPNs, and PCTs. - Manage patient ratios typically between 5-7 patients per nurse. - Utilize equipment such as Pyxis, IV pumps, suction equipment, defibrillators, oxygen setup, SCDs, wound vacuums, vital sign machines, bladder scanners, and vein finders. - Experienced with typical procedures including bladder scanning, IV and NG insertion, wound care, Foley insertion, and blood administration. - Value adaptability, self-motivation, and teamwork; a positive attitude and willingness to ask questions and seek assistance are essential. - Opportunity to work with experienced staff and new equipment or technology. - EMR systems experience required.
