We partner with our Nurses at Wesley Medical Center!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.The Labor and Delivery unit delivers approximately 350 babies per month and care for 700-900 outpatients per month. Their focus is on high-risk labor for women age 14-55. They have the highest employee engagement scores in the hospital, with very active committees which contribute to the shared governance on the unit. Over 70% of LDR nurses have received their National Nursing Certifications. Additionally this unit has been remodeled and the project was completed in Spring 2023. -

  • You will collaborate with the Director to provide leadership to our team and play a role in---fiscal, human resource, and operational functions -
  • Your role will actively participate in department and hospital strategic planning and will effectively implement new programs and services -
  • You will be maintaining an effective competency and staff development program -
  • You will work on day-to-day operations such as: processing payroll, managing department expenses, participating on hospital committees, processing employee evaluations, managing personnel issues--- -
  • You will be assisting in maintaining a departmental staffing plan that meets the needs of the customer and is responsive to the changing census -
  • You will assure an appropriate skill mix and staffing levels in accordance with volume demands -

    • Current Kansas Registered Nurse License or valid compact license -
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) verification course - American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required -
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) verification course -
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required -
    • Bachelor of Science Nursing preferred -
    • Minimum of 2 years clinical RN experience preferred -
    • Two years progressive supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred -
